Month Five - Future self

“In order to taste my cup of water, you must first empty your cup, my friend, drop all of your preconceived notions and fixed ideas, be neutral. Do you know why this cup is useful? Because it is empty” - Bruce Lee

Psychologists state that by the time we are in our mid 30’s, our identity and moulded personality will be completely formed. It is a personality typology that shows us that we become fixated on the beliefs, emotional reactions, habits, views, likes and dislikes, ideologies, perceptions and memories, that have shaped our identity and in turn create a resistance to life flow. Our identity points to the patterns that makes us both happy and unhappy. It teaches us what patterns generate stress and what conditions we need to create to integrate and grow in our lives.

This month, we focus on welcoming our future self into our awareness, we bring them in and begin to imagine the ways in which they have reached joy and prosperity and overcome and triumphed heart ache and stagnancies.

So this month begin to imagine a new you, begin to resist against the patterns which you identify as your identity and personality. Empty your cup, so that you may perceive newness and creativity in your life again.

My affirmation for this month is…

“Everything is working out best case scenario. I trust my higher self to guide me”

This month, see and feel the strength, success and unconditional faith
that your future self brings you, you affirm the above as you
picture your future self extending a joyous hand out to you..

Yoga Nidra :

Yoga Nidra comes from the Indian yoga tradition. The technique could be described as a lying down form of meditation that uses the whole body as a focus of awareness. With regular practice, Yoga Nidra, like meditation, can have profound physical psychological and spiritual benefits.

In classic Yoga Nidra practice, you lie on your back with your arms away from your body, palms turned upwards. Your feet should be hip width apart, with your toes falling outwards. Your eyes remain closed throughout the practice.Make sure that your body is lying symmetrically. It may help if you imagine a centre line running between your navel and throat.

Yoga Nidra puts a strong emphasis on the way your body is laying. Practitioners believe your relaxation posture influences your consciousness, and that this supine position prepares you for letting go and helps to balance the flow of life force in your body.

Some say the main difference between meditation and yoga Nidra is yoga Nidra focuses on entering a state in between the consciousness as well as unconsciousness where those particular desires can easily be manifested.
